Prof. S\u00f3nia Nogueira\u00a0<\/h3>

S\u00f3nia Nogueira is a Professor of the School of Public Management, Communication and Tourism (EsACT) at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragan\u00e7a (IPB) since 2000. She becomes an Assistant Professor in 2013 at the same school. Currently S\u00f3nia is lecturing Public Sector Accounting and Public Audit and Management, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her research interests are focused on Public Sector Accounting and Management, with an emphasis on the Local Government area \u2013 Financial Reporting.
S\u00f3nia was awarded her first degree in Audit and Management Control (School of Technology and Management, Polytechnic Institute of Bragan\u00e7a) in 1999, MsC in Management and Accounting (Economics and Business School, University of Minho, Portugal) in 2006, sufficiency researcher in Accounting and Business Organization (Business and Economic Sciences School, Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain) in 2010 and PhD in Economics and Business \u2013 Local Government Accounting (Business and Economic Sciences School, Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain) in 2012.
S\u00f3nia has been the author of national and international communications on Public Sector Accounting, specifically on local government accounting, such as the communication present in European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) Conference in 2016, Comparative International Governmental Accounting Research (CIGAR) Conference in 2016, others. She also is a co-author of the book \u201cBalanced Scorecard Applied to Public Administration\u201d (2007, Lisbon, Portugal: Publisher Team).
She has receiving the award \u201cLuiz Chaves de Almeida\u201d \u2013 2010, attributed in 2011, for the research \u201cUsefulness of financial information municipal for decision-making internal users: the case of the municipality of Bragan\u00e7a\u201d and the frist awards by open concourse \u2013 Awars Accounting \u201cLuiz Chaves de Almeida\u201d \u2013 2013 with the project title \u201cThe Financial Reporting in the Decision-Making of Political and Municipal Managers. Empirical Evidence for Portugal\u201d, attributed in 2014.<\/p>
